Description

• Since the MACSMIN conference in 2022 is a satellite event of the 33rd European Crystallographic Meeting, the focus will be on crystallography, for example, on different (discrete and continuous) methods to classify lattices and crystals.

• We plan tutorials in the emerging area of Periodic Geometry, which studies metric spaces of periodic structures.

• We are still open to contributions that apply mathematics or computer science to materials in the spirit of MACSMIN.

• Because of Covid, we are planning the hybrid conference at the Materials Innovation Factory (MIF), University of Liverpool (UK) with a modest budget to cover accommodation and possibly travel for some participants and our collaborators.

• The MIF will host the symposium of the Leverhulme Research Centre for Functional Materials Design on 21-23 September
